Preservation Works! Adopt-a-Gravestone Initiative

Through the Sacred Places Tour, which includes tours of the American Cemetery and Catholic Cemetery, NHF has established the “Adopt-a-Gravestone” Program. NHF is partnering with the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training and the NSU Masters of Arts in Heritage Resources to ensure that the grave restoration is properly performed. Additionally, NHF conducted a community cleaning day at American Cemetery in spring 2008 as part of its conservation efforts.
